Post It Note and Pen Holders

Hi and welcome back again.

I have been making some Post It Note and Pen Holders. These are very very popular at the markets and some times I am flat out keeping up with them. It seems they are great for small gifts. I have shown these off before and also put up where I got the original tutorial from but you can find instructions all over the place on the internet for them. Anyway here are some that I made up:

Soda Pop Lid with Bee

I have been wanting to use these soda pop caps for a while. I have filled them with Crystal Effects.

This has been matched up with Pool Party and some DSP from the More Amore DSP. The DSP, Caps and Stamp Set are all from the new Seasonal Catalogue.

Post it and Pen Holder - Upsy Daisy

Retired Upsy Daisy.

This is a very popular style that I make. I dont have the heart to part with it as its so quick to use and make up.

Post it Note and Pen Holder - Butterfly

The beauty of some of these post its is that I can make a few up and it cleans my desk of scraps too.

Until next time…..

Fun with Fabric – Pin Cushions

Hi and whewww, what a long time between posts and so much has happened. I will spare you all the details but will stop on highlights of my journey over the last couple of months.

I attended the Brisbane Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Event early November and then put in a massive order. While at the event Ruth Clarke had a wonderful spot on stage and I couldn’t wait to get home and kick on. Here are the pin cushions that she demonstrated. You can find all the information about how to make them on Ruth’s Blog.

Here are my Hat Pincushions.

A group of them

Ruth advised keeping all those glue dot inserts. Great idea to do this as they are the perfect size for the top of the hat and to contain the stuffing. I had saved a couple as I saw a cute box that Shelley made at convention one year and was going to make them when I had enough. The pincushions really took my fancy and could hardly wait to get a start on them when I got home as I said. Here are a few more:

I admit, I did run out of inserts quite quickly as I decided they were so cute and would make lovely gifts either for friends or family and my family suggested they would look great and would do well at the markets. I was lucky enough to be around one day when a roll of fabric was finished and I asked what they were doing with the insert. They gave it to me. When I got home I discovered it was the same diameter as the glue dot insert so I got out the hack saw and cut a few. They worked a treat!!  Here are another couple:

Blue and Brown Tones.

I just love how the Faceted Buttons and Pearls look together with the crotchet ribbon.

I hope you enjoy looking at these. They are so gorgeous and look lovely on the table at the markets and I sold a couple. Until my next post…..

Some of the Items I make for the Markets

On Bribie Island, there is a community market every week. I try to make these each weekend, as I like to do them and it helps me get out in my local area and promote that I do Stampin’ Up! Here below are just a few of the items that I have on my stall for sale.

Christmas Notebook

Notebook

These have been selling very well. There is a magnet attached to the back if people want to attach them to the fridge and the notepads are replaceable. Nice little gift for Secret Santas and Kris Kringle activities at Christmas.

My Post it – Note and pen sets always do very well. Some have been purchased for teachers gifts and also to have at home just in case there is a last minute gift. These are not my idea, I have cased these from Dawns Stamping Studio. I have just decorated as I see fit. Here are some examples:

Post-It and Pen Set

This one was made with a retired Hostess stamp set called “Cute by the Inch”. A set I dont have the heart to get rid of. Another example of the Post-It and Pen Sets as below.

These sell so well and I get really flat out at times keeping up with them.

I have loads more pictures to show you all, but this is a quick post today. So keep checking back to see what’s new. Until then
