I Dig You Birthday Cards

Hi and thank you again for stopping by. I have been playing with the stamp set “I Dig You”. I decided to try and use colours as close to “real’ things as I could. After working on a construction site for almost 12 months I got to see a lot of diggers so got to know the colours pretty well when it was my job to ‘spot’ for them. The thing is, I think these cards are going to appeal to those big boys that love their big toys nearly as much as the little boys will like them.

Here is the first one I made:

Tangerine Tango Digger

This colour usually goes with Hitachi and their heavy machinery. I used metallic brads to accent the tracks a bit more after cutting the images stamped onto Whisper White with Tangerine Tango.

Here is another Digger:

I used some of the printed paper from the paper stacks for the back ground and used black brads this time. This colour is generally known to be associated mainly with CAT. I really enjoyed making these simple clean and effective cards. I am sure that they are going to be popular with little and big boys alike. I know how much the big boys like their toys too.

Just a quick post, thank you again for stopping by.

A Truckload of Challenge

Hi and thank you for stopping by.

I have been very, very busy creating and most of my creations are for suprises, so I cant show you just yet. I have been feeling a little flat this week after being so busy last week. The challenge set by the girls from the Sunny Challenges and Creations Team this week was very helpful in getting me out of the lackluster mood I have been in for the last 2 days.

So here is my entry:

Happy Dirtday

I really dont use this stamp set enough. This is from “I Dig You”. Its such a cute stamp set for all those males in your life!!  My husband and his mates, who all work in earthmoving or mining, love the cards I with this set, as much or in some cases more so then the little boys. Well you know what they say about boys and their toys. The boys get bigger and the toys get bigger.

I also dont use a lot of the brights colour family so I challenged myself to use them in this challenge.

Sorry its a quick post today but I am back to the craft table for some more creations, which I hope to show you later in the week.

Until then

“May the Stamps be with you”
