Christmas Glitter Snow Globe Wands

Hi and thank you for stopping by.

Today I thought I would post about my Christmas Glitter Snowglobe Wands. I saw this idea late last year and it was too late to make them for Christmas. I made some this year and they look fabulous.

Christmas Glitter Snow Globe Wands

I took these to the markets to sell over the Christmas season. Those of you that know me really well, know that I am not a glitter person as I dont really like how this medium seems to drift all over the house once the bottle is opened. Inside the sweet treat cups is Dazzling Diamonds and around the edges of the wands are in the Champagne Glitter Glass. I have put this over cherry cobbler and old olive and its amazing how the cardstock colour acts with the glitter.

Here is how I transport them to the markets so everything isnt glittery (cant say the same for my space on the floor though and for that I am sorry)

Christmas Glitter Snow Globe Wands – Ready for Transportation

There are too many for one of the A4 snaplock bags to seal so I used a couple. You might be able to see how I have displayed them in this picture that I took on the day of the Handmade Expo Market at Morayfield.

There they are right next to the flowers on either side in little pots with small stones in them (couldnt find any sand in a hurry) to stablize them. They kept tipping over all the time.

I will dedicate separate posts to the other items you can see but thats all for now with the Christmas Glitter Snow Globe Wands.

Until next time….

Seed Packet Folder

Hello and Happy Christmas!!!

Here is one of the gifts that has been found this morning for Christmas. I made this for my sister in law after my husband drew her in the Schirmer Family Kris Kringle. He wanted to get her an unusual present and came up with the fresh herb idea for her Kitchen. He came home with packets of seeds, the gorgeous pot and some gardening gloves. So different to what he first came up with before he went out.

Wrap these please and off he went to work again. So I hope she really likes this. Not generally her colours at all but I had to make the folder to go with the pot.

So here are some pictures:

Outside of the seed packet folder

I made my prototype with photocopy paper and could have used that as it turned out quite well too. Here below is what the inside looks like:

This is what is inside the folder.

I have seen coffee bags and tea bag holders done very similarly to this but I enjoyed making my own one up for this. Here it is with the gorgeous pot that hubby came home with for her. I love the colour and the shape of the pot!

And again with the Folder opened:

I took extra time to write down instructions and as soon as I can after Christmas I will get them up on here.

Thank you again for stopping by and to you and your family, have a wonderful Christmas and see you in the New Year. Although if more creativeness strikes I will post those ideas too.

Happy Christmas, Mate!

Hi there and Thank you for dropping by so close to Christmas. I have been so busy making presents for family and friends and I am still going. I love that I am going to see some of the faces of the ones that I have made gifts for. It just makes me so happy when they love them as much as I enjoyed creating them. I am happy with myself as I had an idea for a Christmas Card thats a bit different to send to family and friends.

Here is what I come up with:

Happy Christmas Mate! Cards for Family and Friends

I first masked the images so it appears that the Kangaroo and the Candy Cane Koala are in the surf too. These were stamped with Staz On then watercoloured with stamp pads, markers and crayons. It was a relaxing couple of days watercolouring all the images. They are finally in the post which is quite novel for me to send Christmas Cards before Christmas, although most probably wont receive them till after Christmas.

This morning I made a lovely gift  for my sister in law. I am going to schedule a post for Christmas Day so that I can show off what I came up with, and so that she doesnt see it before the big day!!

I would like to take the opportunity to wish all you a special Happy Christmas!  Love, health and happiness for 2012.

Until next time….. “May the Stamps be with you!”

Wrap it with Ribbon and Tie it with String.

Hi and Thank you for stopping by. Just a quick little post today.

The first pictures below are inspired by Alisa Tilsner. She made these for her children for end of school. I am not usually a punch person so this gave me the inclination to put my punches through their paces. They have turned out well.

Santa M & Ms

The next set of pictures are “cased” from Michelle Grech. She did hers for our recent Stampin’ Up! Regionals in Melbourne. Here they are. I think they look awesome.

Mini Snowballs

These are made using the Perfect Pennants Die and the Sweet Treat Cups. I have filled them with Glitter (a medium I love for the bling but hate cause of the mess).

I enjoyed making both of these and figure whatever I cant sell at my last markets this weekend, will be great for our Family Christmas this year. Speaking of Family and Friends. Its now time to stop making for markets and to finally concentrate on making my Christmas Cards. I usually end up posting them after Christmas and the goal this year is to get them out before Christmas this year. So time to pack up the punches and clean up the desk and stamp just for my friends and family.

Thank you for stopping by

My Personal Christmas Challenge

Every year near Christmas time, I challenge myself to make Christmas cards using stamps that are not really “Christmasy”. I love to do this to myself to show how versatile you can make a stamp set that would otherwise just sit on the shelf. These are last years challenges.

First up, A very vintage Christmas. I love the Stampin’ Around wheels, they are easy to use and make a project in minutes. This particular wheel is the Jumbo Very Vintage Wheel and the stamp set Vintage Vogue, I love both these products and use them quite a bit .

A Very Vintage Christmas Card

Another of last year’s “Personal Challenge” cards was this one, using Fifth Avenue Floral. Very much an “outline” type stamp set, when I first saw the set in my hands, all I could think of was how nice these flowers would look coloured in as Poinsettias and would be perfect for Christmas cards. So here is my Fifth Avenue Floral christmas card.

Now onto this year’s “Personal Challenge”. When the new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue came out. One of the first sets I had to buy was the “Faith in Nature” stamp set. To receive this set yourself, you must hold a workshop or class with sales of over $300. Being a Demonstrator, gave me the opportunity to be able to order this set a month before the actual catalogue was available to customers and it was on my “had to have” list not the wish list. I have used this stamp set quite a bit since it has been available, but yesterday, I decided to put a Christmas twist to it. So here it is my “Faith in Nature”  Pearry Christmas Card.

Pearry Christmas

I do love to water colour and recently purchased the Regals crayons from Stampin’ Up! after seeing a workshop wow at Brisbane Regional Training in early November this year.  After using the Regals crayons I now have an extension to my wish list…….. more crayons. Hopefully Santa will bring me more for Christmas. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my very first  of many “crafty” posts, and “may the stamps be with you”.
