SAB – Feeling Sentimental

Hi there what a fantastic time to earn Free Product. Simply order from either the new Seasonal Catalogue or the Annual Catalogue or a combination of them both to the value of $100 and you can select 1 free product from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue!!

Here is one of the SAB stamp sets. Its called Feeling Sentimental and is extremely detailed and suited towards a light tap on the new formulated classic stamp pads and voila extraordinary images. Here are a couple of  ‘masculine” type cards I made up:

Penny Farthing

And another and I couldnt help but see “Tardis” with the next image so I did stamp it with Island Indigo:

I also do “Fridge” notebooks, so called as there are magnets on the back to attach to the fridge for shopping etc. They fit a shopping list sized notebook or half of an A5 pad that I usually get cut at Officeworks but you can get the already cut in the Discount stores. IThey are popular at the markets at various times of the year.

I Dig You Birthday Cards

Hi and thank you again for stopping by. I have been playing with the stamp set “I Dig You”. I decided to try and use colours as close to “real’ things as I could. After working on a construction site for almost 12 months I got to see a lot of diggers so got to know the colours pretty well when it was my job to ‘spot’ for them. The thing is, I think these cards are going to appeal to those big boys that love their big toys nearly as much as the little boys will like them.

Here is the first one I made:

Tangerine Tango Digger

Tangerine Tango Digger

This colour usually goes with Hitachi and their heavy machinery. I used metallic brads to accent the tracks a bit more after cutting the images stamped onto Whisper White with Tangerine Tango.

Here is another Digger:

More Mustard Digger

More Mustard Digger

I used some of the printed paper from the paper stacks for the back ground and used black brads this time. This colour is generally known to be associated mainly with CAT. I really enjoyed making these simple clean and effective cards. I am sure that they are going to be popular with little and big boys alike. I know how much the big boys like their toys too.

Just a quick post, thank you again for stopping by.

I have also used Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point as well.

Here is another that I hope goes to a boys home too:

Tempting Turquoise

I didnt want to leave the young ladies out so kept the same sketch but varied the colours to try to tailor for girls with the same stamps (my personal challenge besides using Brights)

Melon Mambo

And another “girlie” Dinoroar Birthday Card!

Rich Razzleberry

I really dont use the Brights Collection enough but with the help of the Colour Coach from Stampin Up and also the Paper Stacks, they really do help with coordination. Here is the final card I made in the Dinoroar set while I was playing around:

Watercoloured

I watercoloured again as I love, love, love to do this and the leaves are cut from the new Secret Garden Framelits, I love them all

Thank you again for stopping by I really appreciate it and all the lovely comments that I receive.

Happy Birthday to Sunny Challenges and Creations ! With that in mind, the theme for the challenge this week is “Birthday” with a great sketch. I have loved doing the challenges when I have had time and also loved being a guest designer with this lovely group of ladies from time to time.

It is such a wonderful time to be a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! in Australia and New Zealand with our pre order for not one but 2 catalogues this month with release for our customers from the 1st of September.  I decided my card this week should give some sneak peaks of products and colours!!  Here it is:

Birthday Cards for July

Hi there, thank you for stopping by again. I really appreciate the time that you take to come have a look at things I have been doing crafty. In my previous post, I mentioned that its just been crazy around here. I did do my cards to send out to the Birthday Girls this month. I had them made in plenty of time too, however, I only posted them on Monday of this week so there will be a couple late this month. I lost these cards then found them and then couldnt understand why I was short one so I made another to make up the numbers.

Here is the first style that I was sure I had made enough of:

July Birthday Card

After stamping the image from the reason the smile set all over the Naturals Ivory cardstock, I then masked the daisies and stamped the large image from the Creative elements set and spritzed. I then removed the masked and proceeded to colour with water colour crayons and an aqua pen. After all the blending was done, I then painted over the flowers again with Shimmer Paint (Champagne). There is Always Artichoke denim ribbon over some So Saffron ribbon too.

I then put them away quite pleased with myself that they were done. I lost them under the rubble on my desk and then found that I was one short when getting them into their envelopes, I could have sworn I had made enough.

I will be honest I didnt want to make another one, but I didnt want one to miss out due to me and my absent mind. So here is Version 2:

Second Card for July.

Its the same only ‘different’. It was the first time I had used my Adorning Accents Edgelets and Embossing Folders.

I love these cards that I made for the girls whose birthdays are in July. I hope you enjoy them as much as I loved making them. Just a little side note, while packing up some bits to go out to the local “crafty shed” morning, I found the cards, it seems I took 2 of them to show the ladies and hadnt put them back after I came home. hmmm I now have 2 spares.

June Birthday Cards

Hi there, how are you all?

Its a lovely day here at Bribie Island, the sun is shining and there is a light gentle breeze. Such a lovely Winter day.

Last week, I finally got around to sending off birthday cards to all on my ESAD birthday list. Phewww there are starting to be quite a few on the list!! I was particularly busy with all the preparations with going to Convention, then onto defragging my brain to get moving again.

Here is the card I created for the birthdays this month:

June ESAD Birthday Fairies Card.

I again made rosettes with the Simply Scored tool that is in the Mini Catalogue and will be going into the new Annual Catalogue in September, together with a metric board and also a diagonal plate. If you want more information on these tools contact me and I am happy to help.

I have placed the rosette straight onto some Perfect Polka Dot embossed Crumb Cake cardstock. The rosettes have not actually been stitched in the centre like I have seen on some tutorials but rather I put some adhesive sheet on the front and the back of some scrap cardstock and put it through my 1 3/8 circle punch and peeled away the backing sheet, placed the rosette onto this. It holds it in place but also gives a little time to make sure the rosette is even all the way around. I decorated the front of the rosette before peeling the other backing sheet off the back of the punched circle and placed in my desired location. I found this way a lot quicker for me. My rosette seams are joined with sticky strip.

I finished the card of with a little bling and some lovely Marina Mist ribbon. I do admit to loving this ribbon and have a couple of different colours in this now. Thats all for me for now. I am onto my July birthday cards as I want to get a good head start on them. I know already that I am using the “Reason to Smile” stamp set again on these. Before I get too engrossed in those. I am going to try to get to the Sunny Challenge this week before the day ends.

Thank you for stopping by

Upsy Daisy Challenge

Hi fellow crafters and good morning. Its not even 8 am on Monday morning and I have my challenge already sorted out for the challenge over at Sunny Challenges and Creations this week. Here is the sketch

Such a nice simple sketch, however the challenge this week was to use the “Baby Wipe” Technique. There are plenty of ways to choose from on the internet. Just google “Baby Wipe” Technique and you will find many amazing ideas and creations using this simple and fun technique.

For my take on the challenge this week, I used the baby wipe technique for my background, using glossy white card stock and Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink reinkers. I also used a slightly different technique for the focal point and the sentiment and matting it all on chocolate chip to frame it all.

Here is my take on the challenge:

SC 042 – 12 Baby Wipe Technique

This is so much fun and I have never used this technique before. I want to thank Sunny Challenges and Creations for another awesome challenge with this fun technique. The challenge is on until 4.00 pm Friday Australian Standard time so why not have a go. This was just so much fun.

2 Sleeps until I board that plane to go to Canberra for Convention. I am getting so excited. All my swaps are packed and done and pictures will be up before the weekend. I may even get time to do some additional posts. I am not promising though, as I have so much fun at these things I sometimes have even forgotten to call my family !!!

Ok just a quick post this morning as I am going to the Drs, followed by a nail appointment (a first for me !!! and I wanted a nice ‘girlie” treat) and my hair done.

Take care

“May the Stamps be with You!!”
