Circles Challenge

Hi again, thank you for popping by. I have another post for the challenge at Sunny Challenges and Creations this week. Easy, all we had to do was have circles on our card front. I decided to stay with my baby theme at the moment as I dont have a lot of these cards and I have been getting asked for them at the markets.

So here is my entry

Fox and Friends Baby Card

Back to a bit of the “traditional” type colours for a baby card.

This post is short and sweet. Stay tuned over the next couple of days and pop back as I have some more creations to upload.

In the mean time

Birthday Cards for July

Hi there, thank you for stopping by again. I really appreciate the time that you take to come have a look at things I have been doing crafty. In my previous post, I mentioned that its just been crazy around here. I did do my cards to send out to the Birthday Girls this month. I had them made in plenty of time too, however, I only posted them on Monday of this week so there will be a couple late this month. I lost these cards then found them and then couldnt understand why I was short one so I made another to make up the numbers.

Here is the first style that I was sure I had made enough of:

July Birthday Card

After stamping the image from the reason the smile set all over the Naturals Ivory cardstock, I then masked the daisies and stamped the large image from the Creative elements set and spritzed. I then removed the masked and proceeded to colour with water colour crayons and an aqua pen. After all the blending was done, I then painted over the flowers again with Shimmer Paint (Champagne). There is Always Artichoke denim ribbon over some So Saffron ribbon too.

I then put them away quite pleased with myself that they were done. I lost them under the rubble on my desk and then found that I was one short when getting them into their envelopes, I could have sworn I had made enough.

I will be honest I didnt want to make another one, but I didnt want one to miss out due to me and my absent mind. So here is Version 2:

Second Card for July.

Its the same only ‘different’. It was the first time I had used my Adorning Accents Edgelets and Embossing Folders.

I love these cards that I made for the girls whose birthdays are in July. I hope you enjoy them as much as I loved making them. Just a little side note, while packing up some bits to go out to the local “crafty shed” morning, I found the cards, it seems I took 2 of them to show the ladies and hadnt put them back after I came home. hmmm I now have 2 spares.

Punch Art – Australian Style

Hi and thank you for popping in.

Monday afternoon after school my daughter comes home to tell me she needs something to fill in time at Guides Tuesday, for at least a half hour or so and work it into something so she can get a step closer to her Bronze Endeavour and eventually her Junior BP. We were stumped for a while and read her guidelines and criteria. It came to us “SWAPS” for international guide visitors. So with that in mind we scoured the internet for what we could do. I am not the first one to go to punch art really, but hey the girls had to make these and my girl likes punch art. We found this Koala first, and here is our interpretation:

Koala Punch Art

The girls didnt sponge around theirs last night and while they looked great, I must admit the sponging makes a difference. This Koala used 11 punches in total, but wow!

We are on a roll I thought, if we punched these out and put them in bags ready to go as lugging those 11 punches to guides would be just silly and a big waste of cardstock. (note to self: order some more basic grey). However, if thats the case, it wont take them very long to make. So back to google and we found a Kangaroo. Here is our Jolly Kangaroo:

Isnt it funny in just the way you place a certain object, their whole faces change? They were both a big hit Tuesday night this week at Guides. I am so glad they enjoyed themselves.

So Punch Art hey? They do look good.

A Challenging Baby Card

Hi there, thank you for keeping with me. It has been a while since I posted anything. I havent had many creative bones in my body, had kids off school for holidays and my husband came home for a week in the middle of it all. I have been making cards just have not been posting here and for that I apologise.

I have missed a couple of challenges recently, a couple of times the cards were made, I just didnt get time to upload them. I will upload them in the next few days.

I wanted to start yesterday on this challenge and sketch

I dont know why but when I saw the sketch and to use the colours Chocolate Chip and Old Olive a baby card sprang to mind.

I used the wheel Baby Tees, Baby Bundle and I have also included a cute banner (a sneak peek) from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set that will be in the upcoming Australian Annual Catalogue available in September.

Here is my card

Congratulations Baby Card

I distressed and inked the edges of this card, before attaching some Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon together with some linen thread. Recently, I have begun a love affair with the Naturals Ivory cardstock and I am really loving the extra effect and body to my cards.

Short and sweet this post is. I have some more cards to edit and write posts for to upload.

Thank you for stopping by
